Formatting your memory card
Usually memory cards are already formatted when you buy them. But if you do
need to format one, you can do so with this option (except for Memory Stick,
see page 4-5).
You can also reuse a memory card that is full by formatting it. This erases all
photos from the card.
Note: This process will permanently delete all of the photos or files that are on
the card, including read-only ones. Make sure that you are formatting
the right card! If you’re not sure, check the contents of the card before
you begin.
To format your card:
1. Insert the card that you want to format into the appropriate card slot (see
chapter 1 for details).
