Before first use
Connect and charge the battery. Open the battery compartment lid

remove the battery, and connect both cables. Red cable to red contact,
black cable to black contact. Connect the charger and charge the
battery completely.

Turn on the unit at the main switch (power)

To turn on the CD player, press the Power/Volume knob for

second, gently insert a CD, increase the volume by turning the Power/
Volume knob to the right, and set the Roadboy to the desired overall
volume using the master volume control (red knob

Turn on the receiver at the Power/Volume knob

right (past the detent position). Insert the batteries in the handheld
microphone and turn it on. To synchronise the radio frequency, position
the uncovered infrared interface (IR above the battery compartment

) so that there is a direct line of sight between it and the infrared
interface of the receiver

on the receiver. If the
transmission was successful, the red RF-LED on the receiver will light
up. Increase the volume by turning the Power/Volume knob

Recharge the battery fully at every opportunity. Never completely
discharge a rechargeable lead battery or store it in discharged or semi-
charged condition. During extended periods of disuse and storage, the
battery must be recharged fully at regular intervals.
