QUICK-START INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The Storm-Wolf Helicopter needs to be charged once it is taken out of the box for the purposes of its first flight
for optimal performance. It is necessary to charge the Storm-Wolf Helicopter for all subsequent flights where the
Internal Battery has been depleted on the previous flight. Refer to the section “CHARGING YOUR BLADERUN-
NER STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER” for further information on recharging.
2. Turn on the Storm-Wolf Helicopter once fully charged and the IR Controller once the 6 AA Batteries are
installed. Ensure that the Storm-Wolf Helicopter is positioned on a safe, sturdy, flat and level, indoor launching
surface.
3. Push the Left Stick all the way up and down to initialize the throttle control between the IR Controller and the
Storm-Wolf Helicopter.
4. Push the Left Stick up again gradually. The Main Rotors will start to spin and the Storm-Wolf Helicopter will lift
off the ground.
5. If the Storm-Wolf Helicopter's body is spinning in the air, adjust this by dialling the Trim Control knob to counter
the unwanted rotation.
6. Use the Right Stick to control the Forward, Reverse, and Left / Right steering of the Storm-Wolf Helicopter.
7. When finished flying, land your Storm-Wolf Helicopter by gently pushing the Left Stick all the way down.
IMPORTANT BATTERY INFORMATION:
Use only batteries recommended in this manual. Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries,
standard, carbon zinc, alkaline or rechargeable batteries of different capacities. Battery installation should be
performed by an adult. Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. Batteries should
not be left unattended during recharging. Please respect the correct polarity (-) or (+). Do not try to recharge
non-rechargeable batteries. Do not throw batteries into the fire. Replace all batteries of the same type/brand at
the same time. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
Remove batteries if the toy is not going to be played with for some time. Rechargeable batteries are to be
removed from the toy before they are charged. Never leave a battery unattended in the presence of children.
The BladeRunner Storm-Wolf requires 6 AA Batteries (sold separately) only.
INSTALLING BATTERIES:
Your Storm-Wolf Helicopter has a built-in, non-removable, non-replaceable, rechargeable Lithium-Polymer
battery. Do not tamper with this battery. Tampering with this battery is dangerous and will void the warranty.
The Storm-Wolf IR Controller requires 6 AA Batteries (sold separately). Install the Batteries as shown:
1. Unscrew the Retaining Screw on the bottom of the Battery Compartment Door using a Philips Screwdriver (not
included). Open the Battery Compartment door on the bottom of the IR controller.
2. Insert the 6 AA Batteries as shown. Make sure to respect the polarity.
3. Replace the Battery Compartment door and tighten the Retaining Screw with the Philips Screwdriver. Do not
over tighten.
CHARGING THE BLADERUNNER STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER:
The Storm-Wolf Helicopter is partially charged out of the box but it is recommended to charge your Storm-Wolf
Helicopter prior to its first flight for optimal performance. Once the Internal Battery is depleted after your first flight
and all subsequent flights, it will be necessary to recharge the Storm Wolf Helicopter. Your IR Controller also
serves a dual purpose as a Charger for your Storm-Wolf Helicopter. Follow the simple instructions directly below
to charge your Storm-Wolf Helicopter.
1. Ensure the Storm-Wolf Helicopter's On/Off Switch is in the OFF position. The LED at the bottom front of the
Storm-Wolf Helicopter will turn off when the Storm-Wolf Helicopter is turned off.
2. Locate the Charge Cable Compartment Door at the bottom front of the IR Controller. Place your thumb on the
grip area of the Charge Cable Compartment Door and slide down to completely remove it.
3. Once the Charge Cable Compartment Door is removed, the Charge Cable will be completely exposed. Pull
the Charge Cable out of the Charge Cable Compartment and pull it downwards gently.

4. Replace the Charge Cable Compartment Door back onto the IR Controller's Charge Cable Compartment,
ensuring that the Charge Cable is able to protrude through the small opening at the bottom of the Charge Cable
Compartment Door. Note, the small opening is just below the thumb grip area on the Charge Cable Compartment
Door. This way you will be able to have the Charge Cable exposed and you will not misplace your Charge Cable
Compartment Door.
5. Insert the Charge Cable's Connector onto the mating Charging Port located on the left side of the Storm-Wolf
Helicopter.
6. Press the Power Button on the IR Controller. The Power Button will light up in Red. the Green Charge LED
will also light up directly below the Power Button. Charging will start automatically. Note, the Red LED at the
bottom front of the Storm-Wolf helicopter will remain turned off during charging.
Charging will take 30 – 45 minutes for up to 5 minutes of flight.
7. Once the charging is complete, the green LED on the IR Controller will turn off.
8. Unplug the Charge Cable from the Storm-Wolf Helicopter. The Storm-Wolf Helicopter is now ready to fly.
9. Conceal the IR Controller's Charge Cable in its location behind the Charge Cable Compartment Door. Con-
cealment of the Charge Cable is the reverse of steps 2, 3, and 4.
10. Unless you plan on flying your Storm-Wolf Helicopter right away, press the Power Button on the IR Controller
to turn it off. When the Red LED behind the Power Button goes out, you know the IR Controller is turned off.

Green LED is OFF: The Storm-Wolf Helicopter is fully charged or is not connected
to the IR Controller's Charge Cable.
Storm-Wolf Helicopter LED Functions:
LED is off: Storm-Wolf Helicopter is turned off and is either charging or not charging. It is also possible that the
Storm-Wolf Helicopter is turned on, but the Internal Battery charge is depleted.
LED flashes rapidly: The Storm-Wolf Helicopter is turned on and is initializing its Gyro or the Internal Battery
charge is low.
LED is on: Storm-Wolf Helicopter is turned on.
CHARGE TIME VARIES BASED ON HELICOPTER’S INTERNAL BATTERY CHARGE CONDITIONS.
TYPICALLY AFTER A 5 MINUTE FLIGHT THE HELICOPTER WILL NEED A 30 – 45 MINUTE CHARGE.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO WAIT FOR THE CHARGE TO BE COMPLETE TO FLY. SHORTER CHARGE
TIMES = SHORTER FLIGHT TIMES. FOR THE LONGEST FLIGHT TIMES PLEASE LET THE STORM-WOLF
HELICOPTER FINISH ITS CHARGE CYCLE.
CHOOSING A FLYING LOCATION:
Please note that the Storm-Wolf Helicopter is intended to be flown indoors only. The Indoor flying area should
ideally be roughly 16’ x 16’ (5 meters x 5 meters) with the standard household ceiling height as a minimum. The
Infrared control range of your Storm-Wolf helicopter is up to 20’ (6 meters), and varies depending on interference
within the operational environment. The IR Controller uses a safe infrared beam to communicate with the Storm-
Wolf Helicopter. An infrared beam is very similar to a beam of light so it is important to stay in visual range of the
Storm-Wolf Helicopter at all times during flight or control will be lost. When flying your Storm-Wolf Helicopter be
careful to avoid contact with any objects such as furniture, plants, electronics, and any other items which can
break easily. The Storm-Wolf Helicopter has Rotor Blades that spin at relatively high speeds and could potentially
damage some household objects. Avoid operating the Storm-Wolf Helicopter around pets or people, and espe-
cially crowds. If the Storm-Wolf is stepped on or otherwise crushed, it will sustain damage that would not be
covered under warranty. Ensure that people around you are aware that you are playing with the Storm-Wolf
Helicopter. Be aware of changes in your operational environment and play safe!
WARNING:
The spinning Rotors of the Storm-Wolf Helicopter are capable of damaging or injuring plants, furniture, pets or
people so fly carefully.
FLYING THE STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER:
WARNING:
Check the condition of all the rotor blades prior to each flight. Do not try to operate the Storm-Wolf Helicopter if
any Rotor Blade has been damaged. Broken or damaged rotor blades may have sharp edges or corners and
they will be spinning fast with a potential for injury! Flying the Storm-Wolf Helicopter with broken Rotor Blades
can also make the it fly in an unstable or uncontrollable manner. This may cause damage to furniture and other
property, as well as injury to plants, animals and people. Broken Rotor Blades can be easily replaced as
described in the “REPLACING DAMAGED ROTOR BLADES” section elsewhere in this Instruction Manual.
Once you have installed Batteries into your IR Controller and your Storm-Wolf Helicopter's Internal Battery has a
sufficient charge, you are ready to fly your Storm-Wolf Helicopter. Follow the steps below to start flying:
1. Slide the On / Off Switch on your Storm-Wolf Helicopter to the On position. The LED on the bottom front of the
Storm-Wolf Helicopter will turn on.
2. Position the Storm-Wolf Helicopter on a safe, sturdy, and level launching surface. The LED on the Helicopter
will flash on and off for a few seconds as the Storm-Wolf Helicopter's Gyro initiates itself.
3. Press the Power Button on the IR Controller. The Power LED will light up.
4. Push the Left Stick all the way up and then back down to initialize throttle control. This is a safety feature to
prevent accidental starts. The Storm-Wolf Helicopter will not move when you do this, but it will now be ready to
fly.
5. Push the Left Stick up again gradually. This will start the Top and Bottom Rotors spinning. The Storm-Wolf will
rise up off the ground and into the air. Increase or decrease throttle by pushing the Left Stick up and down. An
increase or decrease in throttle will result in an increase or decrease in altitude (height). Adjust the Left Stick until
you have reached your desired flight altitude.
-Push the Left Stick up to increase Throttle and gain altitude.
-Push the Left Stick down to decrease Throttle and lose altitude.
6. Once flying at the desired altitude the Storm-Wolf Helicopter may be spinning under the Main Rotors instead
of holding a heading. Adjust the Trim Control Knob so that the Storm-Wolf Helicopter body does not spin. Use
the below points as a guide for Trim Control adjustment.
-Dial the Trim Control Knob to the left if the body is spinning right (Clockwise)
-Dial the Trim Control Knob to the right if the body is spinning left (Counter Clockwise).
Many factors affect the Trim of the Storm-Wolf Helicopter such as Internal Battery condition, throttle setting and
Rotor Blade wear. It may be required to adjust the Trim Control Knob more than once during a flight. Once
trimmed, minor corrections can be managed using the steering control (Right Stick). See the "FLYING TIPS"
section for more information.
7. Steering your Storm-Wolf Helicopter is accomplished by pushing the Right Stick sideways, left or right.
-Push the Right Stick to the left to steer the Storm-Wolf Helicopter to the left.
-Push the Right Stick to the right to steer the Storm-Wolf Helicopter to the right.
WHEN THE HELICOPTER IS FLYING TOWARDS YOU, THE STEERING WILL APPEAR TO REVERSE.
WHEN YOU PUSH THE RIGHT STICK TO THE RIGHT, THE STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER WILL TURN TO
THE LEFT. WHEN YOU PUSH THE RIGHT STICK TO THE LEFT, THE STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER WILL
TURN TO THE RIGHT. THIS IS NORMAL AND JUST TAKES SOME PRACTICE TO CONTROL.
8. Forward and reverse control of your Storm-Wolf Helicopter is accomplished by pushing the Right Stick up and
down.
-Push the Right Stick up to make the Storm-Wolf Helicopter fly forward or increase forward speed.
-Push the Right Stick down to make the Storm-Wolf Helicopter fly backwards.
9. Congratulations! You are flying your Storm-Wolf Helicopter. Enjoy!
10. To land your Storm-Wolf Helicopter, gently and gradually push the Left Stick all the way down. This will slow
the rotation of the Main Rotors and the Storm-Wolf Helicopter will land. It is very important to NOT push the Left
Stick all the way down suddenly, as the Main Rotors will stop spinning instantly and the Storm-Wolf Helicopter will
fall and possibly sustain damage.
FLYING THE STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER: -Continued
11 - A. To fly again, it may or may not be necessary to recharge your Storm-Wolf Helicopter, depending on the
charge that is remaining in the Storm-Wolf Helicopter’s Internal Lithium-Polymer Battery. Simply follow the steps
described in the “CHARGING YOUR BLADERUNNER STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER” section above, to recharge
your Storm-Wolf Helicopter.
11 - B. If you are finished playing, slide the Storm-Wolf Helicopter’s On / Off Switch to the Off position to turn it
off. Then turn off the IR Controller by pressing the Power Button.
FLYING TIPS!:
Altitude Control - the Left Stick Throttle Control is a digital proportional system, therefore fine movement of the
Left Stick will produce minor changes in the Storm-Wolf Helicopter’s altitude.
TAKE TIME TO PRACTICE CONTROLLING THE ALTITUDE AND GETTING ACCUSTOMED TO THE
THROTTLE SENSITIVITY.
Trimming - Once flying at the desired height, the Storm-Wolf Helicopter may be spinning under the Rotors instead
of holding a heading. Adjust the Trim Control Knob so that the Storm-Wolf Helicopter body does not spin. If the
Storm-Wolf Helicopter is spinning to the left (counter clockwise) when it shouldn’t, dial the Trim Control Knob to
the right (clockwise). If the Storm-Wolf Helicopter is spinning to the right (clockwise) when it shouldn’t, dial the
Trim Control Knob to the left (counter-clockwise).
MANY FACTORS AFFECT THE TRIM OF THE STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER SUCH AS INTERNAL BAT-
TERY CONDITION, THROTTLE SLIDER SETTING AND WEAR ON THE ROTORS. IT MAY BE REQUIRED TO
ADJUST THE TRIM CONTROL KNOB MORE THAN ONCE DURING A FLIGHT. ONCE TRIMMED, MINOR
CORRECTIONS CAN BE MANAGED USING THE RIGHT STICK'S STEERING INPUTS IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE TRIM CONTROL KNOB.
THE STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER SHOULD NEVER BE FLOWN WITH DAMAGED ROTOR BLADES.
FLYING THE STORM-WOLF HELICOPTER WITH DAMAGED ROTOR BLADES IS VERY DANGEROUS. SEE
“TROUBLESHOOTING” AND “REPLACING DAMAGED ROTOR BLADES” SECTIONS FOR MORE INFORMA-
TION.
Forward Flight - The best forward flight motion is achieved by gently pushing the Right Stick up. Sharp or abrupt
movements can cause the Storm-Wolf Helicopter to "porpoise" or swing, but might be required to overcome a
slight wind or draft.
Direction Control - Direction Control convention is based as if you were sitting in the pilot's seat of the Storm-Wolf
Helicopter.
Control Reversal - When the Storm-Wolf Helicopter is flying towards you, the steering will appear to reverse. This
is normal and just takes some practice to control.
Infrared Control - The IR Controller uses a safe infrared beam to communicate flight instructions to the Storm-
Wolf Helicopter. An infrared beam is very similar to a beam of light so it is important to stay in visual range of the
Storm-Wolf Helicopter at all times during flight or control will be lost.
REPLACING DAMAGED ROTOR BLADES:
In the event that your main Rotor Blades or Tail Rotor sustain damage, they are very easy to replace by following
these easy steps. (Note, replacement Main Rotor Blades not included, but can be purchased separately as part
of the Storm-Wolf Replacement Part Kit.) (Note, 1 replacement Tail Rotor is included, and additional Tail Rotors
can be purchased as part of the Storm-Wolf Replacement Kit.)
