Engine must be off when performing following operations.
BED LIFTING SYSTEM
In order to easily perform service and cleaning interventions, it is possible to lift the bed and hold this posi-
tion with a locking rod. This rod is positioned between the machine frame bars and can be reached on the
right side after lifting the bed (fig. 1).
1. Remove the safety pin to free the front edge of the rod.
2. Lift the front edge of the rod and insert it into the groove of the plate welded to the bed. The washer on
the rod should also be inserted through the larger groove in order to prevent rod unhooking.
OIL SUPPLY AND LUBRICATION
Engine oil:
If the supply of oil is neglected, not only will the engine fail to run smoothly, but a breakdown
may occur and the life of the unit be shortened.
Therefore, always be sure to supply oil of the prescribed quality and quantity (see engine manual for further
information).
Transmission oil (fig. 2 and 3)
: 1,0 liters
IP PONTIAX SAE 80/90
Replacement of transmission oil first time: after 50 hours. Subsequently: every 200 hours.
Note:
Oil lever plug is not present.
In order to prevent seizing and rusting, make sure that all the moving parts are greased or lubricated.
In order to maintain your unit in good functioning condition, it is advisable to lubricate following components
every 25 operating hours or more frequently if the unit is working in particularly dusty areas.
For this intervention use Lithium based grease no. 2.
Lubricate red crawlers sliding rollers and apply 2-3 pumps of grease to fittings on rollers (fig. 4).
CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT (TRACTION LEVER)
For travel clutch adjustment use clutch wire adjustment nut as shown on figure 5.
- In case travel clutch doesn’t actuate properly (v-belt slips), turn the adjust nut to the direction A.
- After adjustment, tighten the lock nut securely.
BRAKE ADJUSTMENT (TRACTION LEVER)
The brake adjustment is among the most important of the adjustments. If the parking brake becomes even
a little loose, please adjust it immediately. Always be mindful of safety.
In case that the brake doesn’t work well:
Adjust the brake wire length by turning adjust nuts to the direction A (fig. 6), until a distance of 0,5 mm
between each spring turns is achieved. This spring connects transmission and brake wire.
Note:
The machine must remain still after releasing traction lever, even on slopes. Should the machine
move, it is necessary to adjust brake cable or, if necessary, brake disk.
When this adjustment can no longer be performed on brake cable registers, it is possible to adjust the
brake itself. In this case, please follow this procedure.
1. Move to zero the registers at the edge of the cable.
2. Block the traction lever into lower position.
