Changing the batteries in the FitWare FM
Using a coin or similar object, unscrew the battery hatch. The two batteries should pop out of the unit. The radio uses energy
from the top battery and the screen uses the bottom battery. When looking at the empty battery cavity you will see a spring in
the center, two small metal rods that lay at an angle against the top side of the cavity and a very small, metal, horseshoe
shaped tab that sticks out parallel to the battery hatch. Place the first new battery, positive side down; UNDERNEATH that
horseshoe shaped tab. Continuously hold the first battery down while placing the second battery on top of the bottom battery
positive side up. The two batteries must sandwich the horseshoe prong.
It is very important that you put that first battery underneath that horseshoe shaped tab! A lot of people don’t see that tab and
push the battery in, breaking the tab off or moving it out of place.
