Unpacking Your HighPoint Host Adapter
Your Glyph HighPoint Host Adapter and accessories are packaged in a sturdy shipping container. Please
inspect the container for evidence of shipping damage and mishandling. If the container is damaged, file a
report with the carrier or dealer immediately.
The HighPoint Host Adapter package includes:
HighPoint two port eSATA host adapter
HighPoint User’s Guide
Low profile PCI metal bracket
Two SATA to SAS internal cables
Glyph branded CD with Mac driver and quickstart
HighPoint branded CD with all other drivers
About the HighPoint Host Adapter
The Glyph HighPoint card is a 3Gbps/port eSATA card which uses a PCIe slot in your computer. It’s designed
to be used with enclosures holding two or more drives, such as the GT 062E and the ForteRAID, and delivers
300MB/s on each of it’s eSATA connections. The HighPoint card is well matched with the ForteRAID, which
sustains over 230MB/s in RAID 0 mode. Performance like this is perfect for NLE applications such as Avid
Xpress, Adobe Premiere, and Final Cut Pro*; and removes the speed bottleneck for digital photography ap-
plications, content creation, and huge sound libraries.
