J. CT Number Mean and Standard Deviation
1) A method shall be provided to calculate the mean and standard deviation of CT numbers for an array of
picture elements about any location in the image. The number of elements in this array shall be under user
control.
2) The manufacturer shall provide specific instructions concerning the use of the method provided for
calculation of CT number mean and standard deviation in addition to other information provided according to
§ 1020.30(h).
