ETA Cal. 204.911

Your watch is fitted with the latest in quartz

movement technology; an Autoquartz movement.

No longer will your watch be powered by a battery,

but by the physical phenomenon of gravity.

If you wear your watch regularly, the natural

movement of your wrist will deliver constant power

to the movement, just like an automatic watch.

The mechanical energy produced by the

movement of your arm is converted to electrical

energy and stored in an accumulator which then

powers the movement. Thanks to this new

technology which provides a constantly renewable

energy source, you will no longer need to change

your watch battery.

Your Autoquartz movement watch will have an

available power reserve of 100 days once you have

worn it for 40 to 80 days.

Your watch may also be wound using the crown.

Crown in position I: operating position.

The crown is completely pushed in. Normal

position when wearing the watch. In this position,

the watch can be wound by turning the crown.

Crown in position II: quick date-setting.

The crown is pulled out to the first stop (position II).

In this position, the date can be set by turning the

crown clockwise. (Turning the crown anti-

clockwise will have no effect). The time is neither

stopped nor changed.

Crown in position III: hand-setting and storage

position.

The crown is completely pulled out (to the second

stop). In this position, the time can be set. The

second hand stops.

When the hands reach midnight (clockwise), the

date will move forward. In this position, the

electronic unit is switched off after 8 minutes

(energy consumption reduced).

Power supply:

The average life of a lithium battery is greater than

15 years.

Never replace the lithium battery with an ordinary

silver oxide battery as this will completely destroy

the Autoquartz movement.

Energy indicator:

Your watch is fitted with an EOE (End of Energy)

type energy indicator.

When the second hand advances only every 4

seconds, this indicates that a power reserve of

less than 16 hours remains. You may rewind your

watch or charge it manually by turning the crown

for approx. 20 seconds; this will increase the

power reserve by 16 hours.

We recommend that you store your watch with

the stem pulled out to position III if do not intend

to wear it for a prolonged period of time (several

weeks or months).

This allows you to benefit from the great power

reserve advantages that Autoquartz has to offer.

For example, after 5 years of storage with the

stem pulled out to position III the accumulator will

retain approximately 1/3 of its original charge

which is the equivalent of approximately 33 days

power reserve.

If the movement is stored with the crown in

neutral position (watch running), the accumulator

will lose its charge after 100 days.

Operation:

Storing movements and watches with the stem

pulled out significantly reduces the rate at which

the accumulator loses power.

Stop:

8 minutes after the crown has been pulled to

position III, the movement ceases all activity.

Restart:

Push the crown back to position I and turn

clockwise several times in order to start the

movement again.
