NLITE and AHCI Installation Guide
AHCI
The installation steps below will guide you in configuring your SATA drive to AHCI
mode.
1. Enter the BIOS utility and configure the SATA controller to IDE mode.
2. Install Windows XP but do not press F6.
3. Download relevant RAID/AHCI driver files supported by the motherboard
chipset from Intel’s website.
Transfer the downloaded
driver files to C:\AHCI.
4. Open Device Manager and
right click on one of the In-
tel Serial ATA Storage Con-
trollers, then select Update
Driver.
If the controller you select-
ed did not work, try select-
ing another one.
