3.8.3 Protect
The Protect selection allows you to protect files from being deleted.
To protect a file, please do the following:
1. Use the Left/Right Navigation
button to select the desired
file.
2. Press the Middle Navigation
button to lock the file. A lock
icon is displayed on the
screen to show that the file is protected.
3. Repeat steps 3-4 to lock other files.
z Note:
Once deleted, files cannot be recovered. Ensure the files are
transferred to the PC via the USB cable or saved to another
storage device. Files that have been protected will not be
deleted. You have to unlock the files first before deleting
them.
z Note:
To unlock a file, repeat the same steps. The lock icon
disappears when the file is unlocked.
