DAC Front Panel Mode

ANALOG INPUT SELECT has no function in DAC mode
DIGITAL INPUT SELECT chooses one of four digital inputs or output of SRC (SRC DIRECT) as

input to DAC

SAMPLE RATE SELECT has no function in DAC mode; LEDs display sample rate of DAC input

signal

SRC WORD LENGTH SELECT has no function in DAC mode; LEDs display word length of DAC

input signal

DIGITAL ERRORS LEDs indicate specific errors in DAC input signal
ANALOG LEVEL LED meter shows peak level of conversion result relative to +4dBU at

balanced analog output jacks

GAIN UP/DN adjusts DAC input gain; UP increases gain—each step is 0.5dB

At default setting, -14dBFS input yields +4dBU (Balanced) or -10dBV (Unbalanced) output

MUTE silences DAC and headphone outputs and blanks Analog Level meter
SIGNAL MONITOR: LOCKED indicates active digital input signal; MUTED indicates DAC output

status; PRO MODE indicates input signal status bits (Consumer or Pro)

EXT SYNC has no function in DAC mode
HEADPHONES provides monitoring for DAC input
GAIN UP/DN adjusts headphone volume level

SRC Front Panel Mode

ANALOG INPUT SELECT has no function in SRC mode
DIGITAL INPUT SELECT chooses one of four digital inputs or output of ADC (SRC DIRECT) as

input to SRC

SAMPLE RATE SELECT chooses SRC output sample rate; LEDs display selection
SRC WORD LENGTH SELECT chooses SRC output data length; LEDs display selection
DIGITAL ERRORS LEDs indicate specific errors in SRC input signal
ANALOG LEVEL LED meter shows SRC output attenuation relative to 0dB; minimum setting is

-45dB; default and maximum settings are 0dB (no attenuation)

GAIN UP/DN adjusts SRC output level; UP increases level—steps are 5 or 10dB, as indicated
MUTE silences SRC output
SIGNAL MONITOR: LOCKED indicates active digital input signal; MUTED indicates SRC output

status; PRO MODE indicates output signal status bits (Consumer or Pro), cycle input selection to
change output mode

EXT SYNC enables SRC external sync mode, provided EXT SYNC input is present and

LOCKED LED is on

HEADPHONES have no output in SRC mode
