Figure 6A: Installing the Drive
Installing the Drive into the Chassis
NOTES: Removal of chassis cover and access panel are required to install the drive.
Refer to your drive manufacturer's documentation for further information.
1. Carefully insert drive (not included) into the chassis (Figure 6A).
2. Connect the 2-wire drive activity cable to the drive (refer to the drive manufacturer’s
documentation for the location of these pins).
3. Connect the 5-wire ID select cable to the drive (refer to the drive manufacturer’s
documentation for the location of these pins). Refer to Figure 6B for further infor-
mation.
4. Connect the I/O cable to the drive (Figure 6A).
5. Connect the DC power cable to the drive (Figure 6A).
