Tent Setup
1. Lay out the contents of Nano OZ™ and make sure that you
received all of the following items: tent, stuff sack, two poles,
five stakes, guy lines, pole repair sleeve, Tear-Aid® fabric
patches.
2. When choosing a location to pitch your tent, select a flat area
free of fragile undergrowth and sharp objects. Nano OZ ™ is a
freestanding tent which means it will still function without being
staked out. For full strength, anchor the corners of your tent to
the ground with the included stakes. If the ground is too hard to
place stakes, tie the corners of your tent to heavy objects like
rocks. If you are forced to set up your tent on an incline, face the
front of your tent uphill.
3. To install Nano OZ™ poles, place the end of one pole into a far
corner. Insert the opposite end into the diagonal corner near the
door. Make sure the pole ends sit in the metal buttons. Repeat
with the second pole. It is easiest to insert the poles before
staking the tent.

3. LightPocket™: most headlamps have a focused beam and
hanging your lamp inside your tent can be frustrating. To make
things easier, Nano OZ™ includes a special pocket for your
headlamp with a light diffusing fabric. Place your lamp in the
pocket above the door with the light facing towards the inside of
the tent, and the LightPocket™ will help cast an even glow
throughout the tent interior.
2. Integrated Vestibule Rain Fly: The theme of Nano OZ™ is
efficiency: saving weight, saving waste and maximizing
functionality. By integrating the vestibule into the tent shell, we
saved the need for additional zippers and hardware, and saved
you the hassle of attaching a separate fly. If the weather turns
sour, it only takes a few seconds to deploy the fly and create an
additional 8 square feet of shelter. The vestibule includes a UVX
window so you can check conditions outside without exposing
your gear to the elements.
1. Recycled Materials: Most of the materials used in Nano OZ™
come either from recycled PET bottles or reground ABS and POM
plastics. PET bottles include most of the disposable water bottles
sold in bulk at grocery stores and individually in gas station
marts. According to the Container Recycling
Institute, more than 25 billion single-serving
plastic water bottles are discarded each year in
the US alone, with fewer than 20% being recycled.
Worldwide, disposal of plastic water bottles
presents a serious challenge. Every yard of fabric
used in Nano OZ™ saves roughly 1.5 PET bottles
from the waste stream and more than 50 grams
of CO
2
emission. Additionally, the tent reclaims
about half a pound of ABS and POM plastic.
