4. Venting: A combination of venting options
in Nano Elite™ help combat condensation and
promote good air circulation. The large front door
can be unzipped to expose a full wall of mesh for
maximum air flow while retaining complete insect
protection. Head and foot vents can be deployed
by staking out the reflective guy-out cord at the
sides of the tent. The upper crossbow style vent
can be deployed from inside the tent, allowing
low-to-high ventilation. The upper vent is fully
seam taped and stays waterproof in all weather.
5. Watertight Compression Sack: Many of the
NEMO tents include watertight dry bags, including
the Nano Elite™. Having your tent in a watertight
stuff sack means it won’t take on water weight
if it’s in your backpack while you’re hiking in the
rain, or if it’s in your kayak when you roll your boat.
Alternatively, if you have to pack your tent wet,
it will help keep the rest of the gear in your pack dry.
6. Catenary Curves: Using computer-aided
modeling, we build catenary curves into the
edges of Nano Elite’s™ tent panels. This method
of patterning saves extra material and improves
the tensioning of the tent.
1. Footprint: The Footprint is a 70D abrasion-
resistant nylon fabric ground sheet perfectly sized
to fit underneath your tent. The fabric is PU coated
for waterproofness. The Footprint reduces wear and
tear on your tent floor from contact with the ground.
