Thank you and congratulations on your purchase of a new UL3 cabinet. Epifani is based in
Brooklyn, New York, with design and manufacturing in America. We design innovative products
that inspire musicians of all skills and styles to challenge their creative boundaries. Our old-
world craftsmanship and innovative design has changed the world of bass amplifiers and
cabinets by combining highly accurate sound, thundering low-end response and lowered weight.
Engineered for the rigors of the road, the demands of the modern recording studio, and long,
comfortable hours of playing, your Epifani is designed to become a direct extension of your
creativity and a fine musical instrument that will provide many years of enjoyment and musical
performance. That's why Epifani is the choice of the finest bass players in music today.
The UltraLight (UL-series) of cabinets and amplifiers were first introduced at the 2002
NAMM Show to widespread acclaim. As the first speaker cabinets to combine unprecedented
sonic performance and amazingly low weights, the UL-series became the benchmark for bassists
the world over. The UL3-series, the latest in the UL family, premiered at the NAMM show in
January of 2012, and represents our latest concepts in sound production.
The design goals for the line are to offer the uncompromised sonic accuracy of the UL2-
series with a touch of the warmth of our legendary PS speakers. Further upgrades include a
hard-spray finish and American manufacturing. The Epifani design team employed several
scientific disciplines in designing the UL3-series products. Working together on the acoustical,
mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of the line, we focused on creating a speaker
solution where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. All of the components are
carefully selected to meet the strictest design and manufacturing specifications. Lastly, before
any Epifani product is made available to the public, Nick Epifani listens and tweaks the design
until he's fully satisfied that the sound you hear is the best possible.
While the UL3-series works wonderfully when mixed together with other products, it
functions best as an integrated audio system with Epifani amplifiers as the components were
designed to interact with one another to ensure the sound that makes Epifani unique in the
world of high-performance sound.
