Projection Screen Maintenance
Periodically clean the board with Da-Lite whiteboard cleaner.
Interim cleaning may be done by sprinkling a dry powdered
cleanser on an eraser and apply to the board in a circular
motion. Rinse with clear water and dry. Erasure problems may
occur if the clear water rinse is not done.
To remove crayon, scotch tape, etc., use a mild solvent or a paste
made with scouring powder and water.
Best results are obtained when the board and markers are at
normal room temperature. All marker pens should be stored
horizontally and kept tightly capped when not in use. Da-Lite
uses Dry Erase markers and use of any other type of marker is
not recommended.
Magic Panels
These panels are standard on the Deluxe cabinet and optional
on the standard cabinets. Magic Panels are loop velcro fabric
over cork with a durable black nylon frame. They can be used as
tackboards or with hook velcro they can be used to display
charts, photos, etc. These are sold in pairs using Da-Lite part
numbers listed below:
Paper Pads:
All Da-Lite cabinets have two clamps on the doors to hold paper
pads (except the 24" x 36" which only has one). The following
chart shows which paper pads can be used with which cabinets::
After much use the projection screen may start to sag or lose
tension. To restore the tension, pull screen up or down (up for
deluxe only) approximately 18" and when you let it go back it
should stop. The screen will catch like a window shade. Gently
remove the screen from its mounting brackets and roll up the
extra fabric. Return the fabric to the cabinet and reinstall it into
its brackets.
NOTE: The arrow on the square tab end of the roller must be
pointed up.
