HOW TO CLEAN THE EVAPORATION TRAY
HOT-LINE
With
the
freezer-refrigerator
in
operation,
it
is
possible
that the housing will feel warm at the front edges. This does
not indicate trouble. It is attributable to the hot-line design
adopted for this freezer-refrigerator which consists of pip
ing
hot gas from the (motor-driven)
compressor along the
front edges of the housing and the center partition to pre
vent
moisture
from
accumulating.
This
has
nothing
to
do
with the storage temperature inside.
Since
dust
accumulated
on
the
evaporation
tray
will
decrease
the
evaporation
efficiency,
remove
the
tray
to
clean.
The evaporation tray is set on
refrigerator back. To remove,
unscrew and pull it.
Replace the evaporation tray by
following the removal instruc
tions in reverse, and be sufe to
set it well.
If the tray is not securely in place, defrosted water may
spill or the evaporation process may be hindered.

Ice has an odd flavor.
Ice, regardless of how it is made, will sometimes de
velop an off flavor or color if it is kept too long. To
avoid this, empty ice trays and make a completely
new supply about once a month.
