Replacement Cartridge Change Instructions
CAUTION: To reduce the risk assocated with property damage due to water leakage:
• The disposable filter cartridge MUST be replaced every 6 months, at the rated capacity
or sooner if a noticeable reduction in flow rate occurs.
1. Close shut-off valves before (inlet) and after (outlet) fi lter head. Drain
water through drain-down valve to depressurize fi lter.
2. Turn cartridge clockwise, grasping cartridge securely. If water line has
not been properly depressurized, a small discharge of water may occur.
3. Gently pull cartridge straight out and discard.
4. Align tabs on cartridge with head and insert new cartridge into head.
Turn cartridge counter clockwise until cartridge tabs are fully engaged
with head and further rotation is impossible.
5. Place inlet and outlet shut-off valves in regular working positions.
6. Flush 3 gallons through system before use (approximately 6 minutes).
