System Requirements
• DisplayPort enabled computer system/video card**
• DVI-D (digital) enabled display device (i.e. monitor,
projector, HDTV, etc.)
**compatible with both Multi-mode DisplayPort (DP++) and Single-mode
DisplayPort video cards, such as AMD Eyefinity
Installation
1. Make sure the video display device (i.e. monitor, projector, HDTV, etc.) is turned off, before connecting to
the adapter.
2. Connect a standard male/male DVI-D cable from the converter adapter to the video display device.
3. Turn on the video display device.
4. Connect the Mini DisplayPort connector on the converter adapter to the video source device (i.e.
computer, laptop, etc.). The computer can be on or off, as it should be able to automatically detect and
configure the adapter and display device (refer to documentation that came with the computer).
5. Once the external display is detected and configured, the video output should be visible on the display
device. Some adjustments may be necessary from the video source devices output settings for optimal
viewing.

The DisplayPort to DVI Single-Link Active Converters
lets you connect your DisplayPort video source (PC,
Mac, laptop, etc.) to a DVI-D display (televisions,
Apple Cinema Display HD), eliminating the expense
of having to upgrade to a DisplayPort capable
monitor.
Unlike passive adapters, this device offers an active
conversion for use with any DisplayPort output
- ideal for graphics cards that are not capable of
outputting multi-mode DP++ signals (e.g. AMD
Eyefinity). Supporting resolutions up to 1920x1200,
this compact device provides a simple solution for
adapting PC or Mac Mini-DisplayPort output for
compatibility with existing DVI monitors, televisions
or projectors.
