at all time to avoid damages to the unit.
HANDLE INSTALLATION
1.
- Remove the pre-assembled handle trim (2) and top lock nut and washer (5) from the valve body.
Use the medium Allen Key (16) to loosen the handle top. For proper turning direction, the cold valve (9)
should be installed on the right side and hot valve (8) on the left side looking from the front.
- Slip the valve body (8) or (9) with the lower lock nut and washer (5) up from the bottom of the tub
through the appropriate hole next to the spout. From tub top, screw the top washer and lock nut (5)
and handle trim (2) back onto the valve body. Adjust the lock nut to make sure that the handle trim
sits flushed against the tub surface.
2
- Position the valve body side outlet towards the tee connector (10) for easier pipe connection.
Tighten the lower lock nut (5) firmly. Make sure that the handle turns freely in both directions.
Tighten the handle top using the medium Allen key (16).
Repeat the same procedure for the opposite side.
- Connect the water supply to tines to the bottom inlets of the valve bodies. **
- Connect the valve body side outlet to the tee connector (10). **
** The spout, handle valve bodies and tee connector can be connected with flex hoses (not provide by Santec) or copper pipe
soldering. Please note that when soldering connections, do not use excessive heat. Excessive heat can damage the joints
increasing possibility of leakage.
