Thank you for purchasing the MIDI Solutions M8 8-input MIDI Merger.
The MIDI Solutions M8 can merge up to eight MIDI inputs to a single MIDI output, and can be chained together with
additional units to merge as many MIDI inputs as required. The MIDI Solutions M8 is MIDI-powered and requires no
batteries or power supply to operate.
INTRODUCTION
Connect the MIDI Outs or Thrus of the sending MIDI devices to the MIDI inputs ( through ) of the M8. Connect
the MIDI of the M8 to the MIDI In of the receiving MIDI device. Power is provided to the M8 by the device that is
connected to In1, if a device does not provide power it can be connected to In2 - In8. It is recommended that the
number of MIDI Solutions products chained together between any two MIDI devices be limited to four.
The M8's MIDI Indicator LED will light as soon as the sending device is turned on, and flashes whenever MIDI data
passes through the unit. All MIDI messages appearing at the MIDI inputs are merged to the MIDI output.
