Safety Instructions for JAS Vacuum Tube Amplifiers
1. Never disassemble the unit as you may be exposed to dangerous voltage. In case
of operational malfunction, please contact the nearest authorized service center.
2. Do not attempt to alter the unit in any way. This device has been laboratory
tested and adjusted to optimal operation condition.
3. the two toggle switches on the back panel must be pushed to the same direction
in selecting the desired mode (indicated as Bypass and Integrated) of operation.
4. Vacuum tubes dissipate heat in high temperature.
a. Do not touch the tubes with bare hands during operation. It might cause
sever burns.
b. Do not expose the tubes to moisture. Do not clean the device with wet towel.
Water or other fluid will cause severe damage to the unit, and in some case
may cause the tubes to burst and/or the unit to catch on fire.
c. The vacuum tubes will take at least 5 to 10 minute to cool down.
d. Do not leave the device within reach of children.
5. This device should be kept far from any heat sources and flammable substances.
Dry condition and good ventilation are required.
6. Electron tubes are fragile and easily be broken. Do not subject this device to any
strong impact.
7. When the device is in operation
a. Do not move the device from place to place.
b. Do not attempt to chance the vacuum tubes.
c. Do not disconnect the speakers from the amplifier; doing so may result in
excess current spike which may destroy the vacuum tubes and the entire unit.
8. This device is rated to operate on 115v/230v according to local main supply.
Power should be switched off during thunderstorm or during a long period of
non-operation.
9. Before operating the device, the amplifier should be properly connected.
10. Fuse of proper rating should be used as replacement when necessary. The
maximum allowable current is indicated at the back of the unit.
11. During incidents of smoke, fire, unusual sound or smell emerging from the
device, switch off the unit and unplug the power cord immediately. Contact the
nearest authorized service center.
12. Warranty is void if the unit is operated with non JAS Audio approved vacuum
tubes. Contact your JAS Audio dealers for recommendation of non-factory tubes.
13. JAS Audio and its authorized distributors accept no liability for any financial
losses or human and pet injuries due to operation of the unit that violate the
