Protection
The power supply in the unit is protected against:
- over-power situations, recovery after power situation is
corrected.
- over-voltage situations, by an internal fuse.
- short circuit, recovery after short is corrected on the primary
side.
On the secondary side, i.e. the +5 VDC and +12 VDC used for the
internal drive, the power supply will simply shutdown in case of a
short circuit; until the error condition causing it is relieved.
Over-voltage will blow a Zener diode. Both the fuse and the Zener
are accesable for authorised personal only.
