Harness Overview
The Haltech 2JZ Terminated Engine Harness is a plug and play solution for wiring a
Toyota 2JZ-GTE Engine.
Installation is simple and easy as the harness is designed for the engine, all lengths
are correct and all wires are clearly labeled.
Notes on installation:
• Make sure your Engine is grounded.
A Ground / earthing strap should be used to ground your engine to the chassis of the
vehicle. The Haltech Terminated Engine harness does not ground your engine.
Damage can occur to your harness and / or ECU if you do not ground your engine
properly.
• The Harness is designed to be used with the Rear Cam Sensor,
Please use the rear Cam sensor when connecting the harness
• Factory starting and charging circuits are to be used the harness does not incorporate
connections for the starting or charging of the vehicle.
• Keep all wires away from the Exhaust manifold.
Haltech CDI Ignition Harness Overview
The Haltech 2JZ Terminated Engine Harness incorporates the use of a
M&W Pro 16B CDI unit for the ignition.
The Haltech 2JZ M&W Pro 16B CDI Ignition Harness uses the standard coils of the
engine and is supplied with a 20A Fuse.
Installation of this harness is as follows:
• Position the harness in the engine bay / cabin
• Connect the Haltech 2JZ M&W Pro 16B Ignition Harness to the
Haltech 2JZ Terminated Engine Harness by the opposing 8 position
deutsch connectors within the harness labeled as “Ignition Outputs”
• Connect the factory coils to the ignition harness all outputs are labeled on the
harness please connect to their respective cylinder / coil
• Connect the M&W Pro 16B CDI unit to the harness via the main connector
within the Haltech 2JZ M&W Pro 16B CDI Ignition Harness
• Mount the CDI Unit on the vehicle, do not mount the unit where it will be
exposed to water or other liquids and ensure the bottom drain slots are
unobstructed. Select a location away from excessive heat and provide a
cooling air supply if required. Use soft rubber (40 duro) mounts on all four
corners to isolate from strong vibration.
• Connect the Main Power connections,
Connect the Red cable (+ 12V ) to the constant 12V supply on the rear
of the starter motor
Connect the Black cable (ground) to the engine block
