TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM

Cleaner won’t run.

IMPORTANT

The UV-C bulb is specifically excluded from this warranty. Use only a Guardian Technologies replace-

ment bulb. The Germ Guardian contains no serviceable parts. Due to the unique technology of the Germ

Guardian, all repairs must be performed by Guardian Technologies authorized service centers. Any

unauthorized repair or tampering with the Germ Guardian VOIDS this warranty. This warranty does not

cover misuse or abuse.

LIGHT BULB DISPOSAL

MERCURY NOTICE

This device contains mercury in the sealed ultraviolet bulbs. Do not place your used

bulb(s) in the trash. Dispose of properly.

BROKEN BULB CLEAN UP

Do not use a household vacuum. Sweep debris (phosphor/ glass) into a plastic bag and dispose of

properly. It is recommended that the UV-C bulbs are recycled or taken to a household-hazardous-waste

collection center. Call your county recycling coordinator to find the recycling center

nearest you.

BATTERY DISPOSAL

To preserve natural resources, please recycle or dispose of expired battery pack properly. This

product contains nickel-cadmium battery and must be disposed of properly. Local, state or federal laws

may prohibit disposal of nickel-cadmium batteries in ordinary trash. Consult your local waste authority

for information regarding available recycling and/or disposal options. For disposal information, call the

rechargeable battery recycling corporation at 1-800-8 battery.

WARNING: Upon removal, cover the battery packs terminals with heavy duty adhesive tape.

Do not attempt to destroy or disassemble battery pack or remove any of its components. Nickel-

cadmium batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly. Also, never touch both terminals with

metal objects and/or body parts as short circuit may result. Keep away from children. Failure to comply

with these warnings could result in fire and/or serious injury.
