Installing a Fast Ethernet Port Interface
Module (FEPIM)
The ELS10-26 provides a slot for a Cabletron FEPIM (Fast
Ethernet Port Interface Module). The ELS10-26 is shipped without
an FEPIM. To install an FEPIM, follow the procedure below:
1. Remove power cord.
2. Remove the cover of the ELS10-26.
3. Remove the two screws securing the plate on the side of the
FEPIM slot.
4. Install the FEPIM as shown in the illustration. Ensure that the
rear module connector is seated firmly before tightening the
three mounting screws.
5. Replace the plate and two screws on the side of the FEPIM
slot.
6. Replace the cover of the ELS10-26.
Only qualified personnel should perform installation
procedures.
