SUPPLY

Batteries; The receiver operates on four 1,5 V
batteries R20, UM1 or D type. Inserting the bat­

teries is done as follows: Take off cover ®, insert

the batteries as shown in the drawing in the battery
compartment and replace the cover. When the
batteries are weak the receiver will not function

satisfactorily. If this is the case, replace the

batteries by new ones. If the set is not going to be
used for an extended period of time, it is recom­
mended that the batteries are taken out.

Ma/ns; The receiver can also be connected to the

mains. Make sure, before connecting the set to the
mains, that the voltage to which the apparatus is

set, corresponds to your local mains voltage. If this

is not the case, contact your dealer.
By disconnecting the mains lead, the set switches

over automatically to battery supply. Remove the

batteries if the set is to be operated from the mains

for any length of time.

Important note for users In U.K.:

When fitting a mains plug to the mains lead, proceed as follows:

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the

following code: Blue=Neutral, Brown=Live.
As these colours may not correspond with the colour markings

IdentiMng the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The

Brown wire must be connected to the terminal which is marked

with the letter L or coloured Red. The Blue wire must be

connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or
coloured Black.

Note: This apparatus must be protected by a 3 Amp Fuse if a

13 Amp plug is used. Ifanyotherfypeof plug is used, aS Amp Fuse

should be used either in the plug, adaptor or at the distribution
board. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

Warning: Remove the mains plug from the wall

socket when the set is not in use.

AERIALS

AM: the set has a built-in ferroceptor with direc­

tional effect: rotate the set until optimum reception

is obtained.

FM: extend the telescopic aerial © fully and angle

for optimum reception.

SW: extend the telescopic aerial © fully and put it

in a vertical position.

OPERATION

• Select the desired wave range with the selectors

© and/or ©:

- For LW, MW and SW, switch © is set to AM and

the desired wave range is then selected with switch

©;

- For FM, set switch © to FM.

Note (for /02 and /32 - versions only):

When listening to FM-stations (switch ® to FM),

switch ® should be set to the SW 1 position in

order to guarantee the full FM frequency range

(87.5 -108 MHz), i.e. the reception of all stations in

your area.

Switch on the set with switch ® and adjust

desired volume with control (u).

• Use knob © for tuning.
• Use control © for fine tuning on SW-stations.

Adjust treble with control © and bass with

control ©.

Switch on the booster with switch ® if more

power is desired.

• An earphone can be connected to socket®; the
built-in loudspeaker is then automatically switched
off.

Do not expose the radio and the batteries to

excessive heat or direct sunshine for any great

length of time. Excessive heat may specialiy occur

in motorcars parked in the sun and near heating

equipment.
