Replacing the spool with line
ATTENTION: Disconnect the string trimmer from the power source before replacing the spool.
Turn the bottom side of the head of the string trimmer towards yourself.
Press the clip on the line spool cover as shown on pic. 9 and remove the spool cover.
Take the spool out and remove the remains of the line found on the spool.
Thread the end of the line through the hole in the spool as shown in pic. 10. Check that the spring
is in its place under the spool. Pull the line through the opening on the machine's head so that the
line is tensioned when the spool is seated.
Note: Inside the head there is a spring that can easily be lost. Make sure that it is kept in a safe place.
Press the spool GENTLY downwards on to the spring and turn it until you feel that it has been
properly seated. Make sure that the line does not get stuck under the spool.
Reattach the spool cover, hold the string trimmer in the cutting position and turn on the machine.
Within a few second or even sooner you will hear how the line is cut off to the correct length. If the
line is not cut off, tap the butt on the butt lightly against the ground, which will release and extend
the length of the line.
