CONVECTION OVENS

MODELS 107800, 107800-2, 107801, 107801-2, 107905 and 107905-2

(Please read these instructions completely before operating)


PRODUCT INFORMATION

Boekel’s Convection Ovens are designed to provide
reliable performance to users in research and
industrial laboratories, clinics and schools. Each oven
comes with a thermometer and ferrule insert for
tracking oven temperature and two movable shelves
for holding samples. Additional shelves may be
ordered.

PRODUCT PERFORMANCE

Boekel’s Convection Ovens come in three chamber
volume sizes; including 0.6 cu. ft. (.017 cu. m.), 1.6 cu.
ft. (.045 cu. m.) and 2.7 cu. ft. (0.76 cu. m.). All Boekel
Oven models are designed to operate at a minimum
temperature of 100°C and a maximum temperature of
215°C. The oven is equipped with an over-temp safety
cutoff. If the chamber temperature exceeds
approximately 290°C the safety cutoff will activate,
shutting off the heater.

UNPACKING

1. Remove the Oven, Shelf and Thermometer

from carton.

2. Inspect for damage. Report all shipping

damage to the carrier immediately. Shipping
damages are covered by the carrier and repair
and/or replacement for shipping damages must
be coordinated through the carrier.

3. Retain all packing material in the event that the

unit must be returned.

4. Completely fill out and return the self-

addressed Boekel warranty card.

WARNING: Do not use to melt wax or
otherwise with flammable, corrosive or
hazardous materials. Fire or serious
personal injury may result. Not for use in

Class I, II or III locations as defined by the
National Electrical Code.

WARNING: Unit should not be operated
without the heat plate installed. This is not a
workable surface and no objects should be

placed on this surface.


WARNING: Unit should never be left
unattended.

SET-UP

1. Place the oven in a clear, draft free environment

,

not within 6” of a wall or combustible materials.
Insure that the surface on which the unit is
placed will withstand the radiated heat produced
by typical laboratory ovens.

2. Plug unit into the appropriate power outlet.
3. Insert the wire rack shelves at the desired height.
4. Insert the Thermometer into the ferrule located

top center on the oven.


OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Turn the Power switch to the “ON” position.
2. Rotate the “Temperature Adjust” knob clockwise

to increase the chamber temperature.

Counterclockwise rotation will reduce chamber
temperature.

3. The red “Heat” Pilot Light will illuminate when the

Oven heater is turned on. The light will alternate
on and off when the oven reaches its set
temperature.

4. Allow 45 minutes for chamber temperature

equilibration when first starting the Oven. Always
monitor the temperature by using the
thermometer provided. Allow at least 15
minutes for re-equilibration when adjusting
chamber temperature.

CLEANING

1. Disengage power cord before performing any

cleaning.

2. The unit interior, bottom, sides and shelves may

be cleaned using a suitable cleaning and
disinfecting solution. Allow to dry thoroughly
before restarting unit.

3. The exterior can be cleaned with a damp cloth or

sponge.
