markings from conventional tire
markings. Following is an example of
PAX system tire size with an
explanation of what each component
means.
Tire width in millimeters.
Outside diameter of the tire in
millimeters.
Tire construction code (R
indicates radial)
Nominal diameter at the rim
seat in millimeters.
Symmetric
Tire type code.
Date of manufacture.
The maximum air
pressure the tire can
hold.
The maximum load the
tire can carry at
maximum air pressure.
