IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR ELECTRIC SKILLET
Do not use this appliance for any other purpose other than intended
WARNING: To avoid risks of electrical shock, burns or injuries, always make sure the product is
unplugged from the electrical outlet before displacing, servicing, or cleaning
When using any electrical appliance and to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or serious
injury, basic safety precautions should always be followed:
1. Before using this appliance, please check carefully to make sure voltage (AC120V-60Hz) is
compatible with your home.
2. ALWAYS place appliance on a flat, level and stable surface.
3. Always attach Probe/Temperature Control to Electric Skillet first before plugging it in
electrical outlet.
4. Plug in Probe/Temperature Control to Electric Skillet making sure it is fully inserted in Skillet
socket. Skillet Socket Pins must be fully inserted into the 2 holes on each side of the Probe.
5. Turn Temperature Control Dial to lowest setting before inserting plug in electrical outlet.
6. Turn Temperature Control Dial to OFF position O position before disconnecting plug from
the electrical outlet.
7. NEVER use any other Probe/Temperature Control with Skillet than the one provided.
8. DO NOT let power cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch any hot surfaces.
9. DO NOT place or use the unit or any parts on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in a heated
oven, or on stove top.
10. DO NOT use or place appliance near or on any flammable materials such as tablecloth,
curtains, towels, paper, plastic, wood or other.
11. DO NOT operate this appliance on a non-heat-resistant surface as this may damage surface.
Place unit on a heat-resistant cooking surface such as tile, Formica® or
any surface protected with a heat resistant finish at least the size of the unit or larger, to
be placed underneath the appliance. CAUTION: ALWAYS protect surface underneath the
appliance from heat generated by the unit as it could cause permanent damage to surface.
12. This appliance should not be used by or near children, or persons with certain disabilities.
13. This product is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other
blade) as a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire. This plug will fit
into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to insert the plug into the electrical
outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Never use the plug with an extension cord unless the plug can be fully inserted into the
extension cord, making sure the electrical rating of the extension cord is at least as great
as the electrical rating of this appliance (listed on the bottom panel of the unit). Do not alter
plug. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
14. DO NOT operate this or any other appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the
appliance malfunctions, has been damaged in any way or if Base has been placed in water or
any other liquid. Send the unit to the nearest Authorized Service Center for inspection, repair
or adjustment. (ONLY qualified technicians should repair the unit).
15. To avoid risk of electrical shock, fire or injuries: DO NOT immerse Electric Skillet,
Probe/Temperature Control, electrical cord or plug in water or other liquid.
