1. DESCRIPTION
The intent of this kit is to improve the rigidity of the High
/ Neutral / Low range gear selector on first year produc-
tion Low Boy 7000 series tractors. The kit includes:

2. PREPARATION
2.1. Take inventory of the kit. Place the contents of
the kit on a clean level surface and compare
them to the bill of materials before beginning
mechanical work. See Figure 2.1.

NOTE: There are two small detent springs in the
kit. They have different compression ratings.
Use the spring that is harder to compress. It will
be visually identified by the heavier guage wire
used in its construction.
2.2. Park the tractor on a firm level surface, turn the
engine off, and remove the key from the key
switch.
2.3. Lift and safely support the back of the tractor.
2.4. Remove the right rear wheel and tire using a 3/4”
socket. See Figure 2.4.
