Concerning the hold function

This function prevents the unit from

operating even if one of the front panel
buttons is pressed in error.

During hold state If a button is pressed..

Extend the headphone

How to receive an FM

broadcast clearly
Set [FM RECEPTION! to (NOR).
When FM reception is impaired or
there is interference from a powerful
station, set it to [CITY],

Preset tuning

Frequencies of up to 20 radio stations
(10 each for AM and FM) can be
stored in the memory.
MODE 1; FM 1-5, AM 1-5
MODE2; FM 1-5, AM 1-5

We recommend that you use MODE 1
tor daily use, and MODE 2 for travel.

■ Mode selection

Press and hold [»AM/FM/OFF, -MODE

^¡m ] for more than 2 seconds. “ Ml ”

(MODE 1)or‘'«a"(MODE 2) is Show on
the display.

■ Memory presetting

1. Tune in the station to be stored.

2. Press and hold one of the memory

buttons ([11, [2], [3], [41, [5]) for
about 2 seconds.

3 beeps can be heard.

To recall a preset station

Press one of the memory buttons

{[1], |2], [3], [4], [5]).

• Release the memory button within 2

seconds.

When using overseas

The allocation settings according to
the area are needed, A different allo­
cation can be selected for each mode.

Every time the following procedure is
performed,

the

allocation

setting

changes as follows;

FM 0.2 MHz, AM 10 kHz*
(original setting)

FM 0,1 MHz, AM 10 kHz

FM 0.05 MHz, AM 9 kHz-

While playing the radio

1. Press and hold [•AM/FM/OFF,
