Step 3b—Storage Adapters/Controllers
All systems include an onboard UltraSCSI adapter to
support a maximum of seven internal devices; four SCA-
2 hard disk drives and three removable media devices.
If the internal drives are connected to a PCI-based RAID
controller (KZPAC-xx) instead of the onboard UltraSCSI
adapter, Fault Management must be disabled when the
RCU (Raid Configuration Utility) is executed.

PB8HA-DA cable is required to connect optional PCI-
based RAID controller to internal disk drives.
Maximum number of KZPAC PCI-based RAID
controllers supported is four.
Charts indicate minimum level of operating system
supported.
Note: Minimum operating system level support for
DIGITAL UNIX with MEMORY CHANNEL is V4.0B.

for each external UltraSCSI shelf attached to KZPBA.

devices via the DWZZA or DWZZB signal converters. Internal hard
