Maintenance and Care

General

• Always keep the mower clean and free of grass clippings.
• After each cutting session, scrap or blast with water the built

up grass from the underside of the blade housing.

• Clean plastic parts with a damp cloth. Do not use solvents or

cleaning fluids on plastic components.

• Check all nuts, bolts and screws before each use.
• Store the mower in a dry area.

Blade Maintenance

The steel blade is designed to provide a fine cut in long or tough
grass. Deterioration in the quality of cut indicates blade wear
or damage. Follow these steps to determine if the blade needs to
be repaired or replaced:

1. Disconnect

the electrical supply to the mower.

2.

Turn the mower on its side so the underside of the
blade housing is exposed.

3.

Check the blade.

a.

If the blade is blunt or has minor wear,
then re-sharpen.

b.

If the blade has major wear or damage

(i.e.: gouged, bent), replace. Please call Sun
Joe customer service (1-866-766-9563)
for assistance.

Blade Replacement

Important:

Only use original replacement parts specified for

this mower.
