Outward 'flicks': put a section of hair between the styling plates, keeping the plates as near the roots as

possible. Grip the hair and move the device from the root of the hair to the ends, turning the styling plates
outwards as you reach the ends.

Inward 'bobs': put a section of hair between the styling plates, keeping the plates as near the roots as possible.

Grip the hair and move the device from the root of the hair to the ends, turning the styling plates inwards as
you reach the ends.

Do not brush or comb your hair immediately after styling. Wait until your hair cools down,
otherwise the styling effect will be reduced or lost.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Warning! Before cleaning, always switch off the device and remove the power cable
from the mains socket. Wait for the device to cool completely before you start
cleaning. Never immerse it in water or place it under running water.

To clean the handle, wipe it with a soft cloth that's been moistened with a few drops of mild detergent. Next,
remove the detergent by wiping with a soft lint-free cloth moistened with lukewarm water. Finally, wipe the
cleaned surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth. Take care to ensure no moisture enters the device. Make sure the
hair straighteners are completely dry before using them again.

Never use solvents (acetone, benzene, petrol etc.) to clean the device because these materials could dissolve
the plastic cover and damage the internal components. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

Never scrub or scour the styling plates; this can damage the glossy surface. Any dirt should be removed with a
soft lint-free cloth.

The styling plates may appear slightly discoloured after long-term use. This is not a fault and doesn't affect
the operation of the device. You can use purified alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) to remove this discolouration; do
not use any other cleaning liquid. Moisten a clean lint-free cloth with the alcohol and gently wipe the surface
of the styling plates. Take care not to touch other parts or to let any moisture inside the device. Next, wipe
with a damp lint-free cloth and finally wipe the cleaned surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth. Make sure the hair
straighteners are completely dry before using them again.

If you don't plan to use the device for a while after cleaning it, place it in a nylon bag and store it in a place
that is free from dust, damp and frost. Do not wrap the mains cable around the device when storing it
because the insulation can deteriorate or break under these circumstances.

USING THE DEVICE

Before use

Unpack the device and remove all the packing materials.

Carefully check the device to ensure it is complete and undamaged. You should only use the device if it is
complete and has not suffered any damage.

Using the device

1. Connect the mains plug of the device to the wall socket. Switch on the socket, then push the power button (4)

to the ON position. The heating indicator light (3) will illuminate. Only hold the handle and take care not to
touch the styling plates when the device is switched on.

2. The hair straighteners will be hot enough to use within a few minutes. You can adjust the temperature of the

styling plates between 120°C and 200°C by using the temperature control (5). You should choose the most
appropriate temperature depending on your styling needs and your hair type. We recommend that you start
using the device at the minimum temperature setting and gradually increase the temperature if the styling
plates are not hot enough for the desired effect.

3. This device can be used in two ways. If you hold the handle closed with one hand and push the function

selection button (6) towards the styling plates with your other hand, you'll be able to use the curved surface
of the styling plates to create curls and ringlets. Alternatively, if you want to straighten or smooth your hair,
hold the handle and push the function selection button towards the power cable connection until it clicks.
This allows the handle to open; you can now grip your hair between the styling plates. Always move the
device from the root of the hair towards the ends when straightening or smoothing hair.

Warning! If you need to put the device down for a moment when using it, always place
it on a heat-resistant surface and make sure there is no flammable material nearby.
Pay attention to where you place the device and never leave it unattended during use.

4. When you've finished styling your hair, use the power button (4) to switch off the device and then disconnect

the plug from the mains socket. Place the hair straighteners on a heat-resistant surface until they have cooled
down completely. Do not touch the styling plates and keep them away from any flammable material.

Practical advice for hair styling

Straight hair: put a section of hair around 4cm-5cm wide between the styling plates. Close the device, move it

slowly from the root of the hair to the ends, then open it. Allow between 5 and 8 seconds for straightening
thinner hair; thicker hair will take 10-15 seconds.

Softly twisting locks of hair: put a section of hair around 4cm-5cm wide between the styling plates. Follow the

advice above but also turn the device while moving it through your hair.
