In order to increase the useful life of the appliance and prevent inefficient use, avoid the occurrence

of the above faults and always follow the instructions of the operating manual; failure to observe

the above will constitute improper operation for which the manufacturer will not be liable.

It is recommended that the appliance is checked by an authorised service engineer at regular

intervals even if no defects are detected - in this way a potential defect can be corrected at an early

stage, increasing the useful life of the appliance.

Please respect the environment when the appliance reaches the end of its life. Electrical products
must not be disposed of with other residential waste because they can damage the natural world and
may be hazardous to human health. You should dispose of the appliance at an appropriate recycling
site or by using a collection service that specialises in electrical appliances.

• To avoid the risk of electric shock, never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Never touch the

appliance with wet hands. Connect and disconnect the power cable to the socket with dry hands only. Should
moisture get inside the casing of the appliance for any reason, stop operation immediately and take the
appliance to an authorised service engineer for checking or repair.

• After use and before cleaning, always disconnect the appliance from the mains. Never do this by pulling on the

cable; always take hold of the plug and pull out of the socket. Switch off the appliance before disconnecting it
from the mains.

• Never lead the power cables around sharp corners or along or above hot surfaces. Never wind the power cable

around the casing of the appliance, and do not drag or lift the appliance by the power cable because it might
tear away or the insulation might become damaged. Use the cable cleat (holder) to store the excess cable
section. If the power cable of the appliance has become damaged, have it replaced at an authorised service
engineer. Do not connect the appliance to the mains if the power cable is damaged.

• Only use the appliance on a stable, level surface. Keep it away from water and make sure it cannot accidentally

slip or fall. If the appliance comes into contact with any kind of moisture or liquid during use, immediately
unplug it from the mains. Do not touch it or attempt to take it out of the liquid until the mains plug has been
removed from the socket. You must not use the appliance again before having it checked and repaired by a
specialist engineer.

• Modification of the power cable by lengthening or shortening the cable, is prohibited. If the cable is too

short to reach the mains supply socket, a proprietary extension cable must be used. The extension cable must
provide an earthing contact. Special care must be taken to ensure that the extension cable does not present a
tripping hazard when connect to the appliance.

• Never use the appliance with its power cable damaged, if operation is erratic or it is otherwise damaged.

In these cases take the appliance to an authorised service engineer for checking, repair or adjustment. Only
skilled experts in the service station are authorised to repair the appliance.

• Warning! Disassembling the appliance, opening the casing or attempting to repair it at home are forbidden

- non compliance with this instruction might result in serious accidents. The inside of the appliance does not
contain any parts that can be repaired at home or used for any other purpose. Never use the appliance with
damaged power cable or connector, if operation is erratic or if it was dropped and is otherwise damaged. If
the appliance has become faulty for any reason or moisture has got inside the casing, take it to an authorised
service engineer for checking or repair. Only skilled experts are authorised to repair the appliance. The
manufacturer is not liable for damages if home repair has been attempted or the instructions in the operating
manual have not been complied with.

• Do not allow anything to fall into the appliance and do not push anything into the opening of the appliance as

the appliance could be damaged and could cause electrical shock.

• Always take care to avoid straining the electric cable, never drag or lift the appliance by the power cable as

it could be torn off or damaged. For the same reason prevent the power cable from getting under the feet of
chairs or other furniture.

Warning! Never leave your home - even for a short time - with the appliance turned on

(connected to the mains)!

When the appliance is no longer in use always turn it off and then remove the electric

cable from the socket of the power supply (mains) or the extension cable.

Warning: the appliance must never be covered when it is connected to the mains, even if

the connection is switched off. Blocking the flow of air may cause overheating and a risk

of fire. Never dry any clothes or other fabrics on the appliance.

Never allow anyone to sit on the cooler, and never place or stack items on the top of the

cooler.

• Only cold tap water or distilled water should be used to fill the water reservoir. Never use scented, foaming, or

other chemicals in the appliance.

• Change the water in the reservoir frequently. Never allow the same water to stand in the appliance for long

periods.

• Never use the cooler in a confined space or where space on either side or above the appliance is restricted (e.g.

by a shelf or by built-in furniture). Ensure there is proper ventilation when the cooler is in use.

• Always disconnect the cooler from the mains supply (e.g. wall socket or extension cable) before attempting to

move it. Never attempt to fill or drain the reservoir, or to take out the ice pack without first disconnecting the
appliance from the mains supply.

Please keep this instruction manual. If you give the appliance to anyone else, you must give them this
instruction manual, too!
