Safety Edge and Warning Placard Installation
 See reversing edge sensor
instructions for the exact placement of
the reversing edge contact sensors.
 One or more safety edge contact
sensors shall be located at the leading
edge, trailing edge, and post mounted
both inside and outside of a vehicular
horizontal slide gate. When the contact
sensor is hard wired, it shall be located
and its wiring arranged so that the
communication between the sensor and
the gate operator is not subjected to
mechanical damage.
 With full systems capability
control boards, the edge sensor is
connected to terminals 24 and 26 as
shown at left in figure 2.
 The gate operator is provided
with two safety warning placards. The
placards are to be installed on each side
of the gate where they are plainly visible.
The placards may be mounted using
sheet metal screws through the six holes
provided on each placard.
 All warning signs and placards
must be installed where visible in the
area of the gate.
