HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY STATUS METER
The meter indicates the amount of power that is left
in the high voltage battery. The ideal battery charge
is achieved when the needle is within the blue, normal
range zone

TURNING THE HYBRID SYSTEM ON/OFF
depress the brake pedal.
Move the shift lever to P (PARk).
Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
The green ReAdy light will illuminate in the meter.
Once the green ReAdy light is illuminated, you may
begin driving the vehicle.
nOTe: it is important to make sure the niSSAn intelligent
key™ is with you (that is, in your pocket or purse).
TuRninG THe HyBRid SySTeM Off
Move the shift lever to the P (PARk) position and
apply the parking brake.
Push the ignition switch to turn the Hybrid System off.
eMeRGency enGine SHuT Off
To shut off the engine in an emergency situation while driving, perform one of the following procedures:
Rapidly push the push-button ignition switch 3 consecutive times, or
Push and hold the push-button ignition switch for more than 2 seconds.
