6.0 Faults and Remedies
Simba DTX AR Troubleshooting
Fault Possible Cause Remedy
Machine ‘bouncing’ in work. Disc angle too great. Reduce disc angle.
Speed too fast. Reduce speed (<12kmh).
DD Roll blocks regularly. Scrapers incorrectly
adjusted
Adjust scrapers to clear dirt
from between DD Rings.
Conditions may not be
ideal for using machine.
Wait for more favourable
conditions.
Inadequate consolidation. Not enough weight on rear
roll.
Increase chassis pitch
slightly via tractor toplink.
Not enough cultivated soil
depth.
Increase working depth.
Speed too fast. Reduce speed (<12kmh).
Surface finish is uneven
and cloddy
Not enough roll pressure Reduce draft control
Wings too aggressive Fit different wings, either
narrower wings or wings
with a shallower rake (see
page 20)
Running nose down Level frame
