With the Flatliner fitted with this kit the
implement becomes a trailed machine in its
own right. The wheel units as provided in the
kit are used both for depth control and for road
transport. When in road transport the machine
is lifted clear of the ground using a hydraulic
cylinder on each wheel unit.
For depth control in work, each wheel is set
via toplink adjusters to the required working
depth. When in work the hydraulic cylinder on
each wheel is used in the fully closed position.
If the wheel units are used in conjunction with
a rear mounted roll unit, the wheels may be
adjusted to run clear of the ground to ensure
that all possible weight and down force is
transmitted through the roll, increasing
consolidation of moved soil, so conserving
soil moisture and crushing any clods that may
have been brought to the surface.
