Plugging
Coulter/disc gangs running deeper than
sweeps.
Machine not level front to back.
Too much residue in the rows.
Disc gangs not cutting residue.
Improperly spaced shanks.
Running too low.
Ground too wet.
Raise coulter/disc gangs.
Level machine front to rear with turnbuckle, See “Front
to Rear Leveling” on page 14.
Run at a slight angle to the rows.
Check for sharpness.
Check shank layout for proper shank placement.
Speed up (6-7 m/h)/(9-11 km/h).
Allow ground to dry some.
