Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need any drivers to use the GT 060BR?

No drivers are required for Mac or PC. Your computer must have a FireWire port.

Q: How do I connect the GT 060BR to my FireWire 800 equipped computer?

Use the supplied FireWire 800 9-pin to 9-pin cable. One end goes to the “S800” port on the drive; the other goes to the
FireWire 800 port on your computer.

Q: How do I connect the GT 060BR to my FireWire 400 equipped computer?

Connect the “S800” port on the drive to a FireWire 400 port on your computer using a 9-pin to 6-pin Bilingual cable (see
below).

Q: I’m still running Mac OS 9 or Win/ME. Can I still use the GT 060BR?

Yes. You can connect the “S800” port on the drive to your OS 9 or Win/ME computer using a 9-pin to 6-pin Bilingual cable.
You can use the “S800” port on the GT 060BR when you want to connect to a FireWire 800 equipped computer at a later
date.

Q: Do I need RAID software?

RAID software is not needed because the RAID intelligence is built into GT 060BR hardware. Just plug your GT 060BR into
your FireWire port, and it should appear as one large volume. Instructions for re-initializing your drive are on your Glyph
documentation CD and on the Glyph website.
