OPERATION
Before applying the vacuum lifter to a load, make sure that all vacuum pads will fit entirely on
the load's contact surface and that they will be loaded evenly while lifting. Whenever
Telescoping/Removable Pad Arms are installed (see ASSEMBLY), position them inward or
outward as needed to provide optimal support across the load surface (see T

to follow). After confirming that the pad frame is configured to optimize the lifting capacity and
pad spread for the load, operate the lifter as directed in the OPERATION section of the lifter's
instruction manual.

1) Remove the cotterless hitch pin from a Telescoping/Removable
Pad Arm by pulling on the pull ring.
2) While making sure the attached vacuum hose does not get
pinched, slide the pad arm to the desired position and align the
holes for the cotterless hitch pin in the pad arm with the
corresponding holes in the pad frame.
3) Secure the pad arm by pushing the cotterless hitch pin through the holes until the retaining
ball emerges on the far side of the pad frame tube.
4) Repeat steps 1-3 to position other pad arms as needed. Always position pad arms in a
symmetrical arrangement, and make sure that all vacuum lines are functioning correctly.
MAINTENANCE
When performing inspections and tests as directed in the lifter's instruction manual, be sure to
include all parts of each Telescoping/Removable Pad Arm and quick connector, whenever
applicable.
