3) Carefully remove the remote
vacuum package from the
shipping container, and attach the
vacuum package securely to the
forklift or hoisting equipment in a
protected location where the
vacuum package will move with
the lifter. The illustration
represents two potential mounting
locations. However, hoisting
equipment design and applicable
statutory or regulatory standards
must be factored into any specific
installation. Consult the hoisting
equipment manufacturer to determine how to mount the vacuum package in a safe location
that will not interfere with hoisting equipment operation.
Note: The basket for the movable control pendant can be removed from the vacuum
package’s mounting plate and relocated in a position more convenient to the lifter operator
(see OPERATION: T

4) Connect the vacuum line from the lifter to the vacuum package: Make certain the vacuum
line is routed so that it does not become tangled, kinked, pinched or cut while operating the
lifter or hoisting equipment. Then connect the line by pushing the male and female ends of
the quick connectors together until they lock.
5) Connect the electrical connectors uniting the battery to the battery charger and the vacuum
generating system. Now the lifter is operational.
