INSTALLATION

Tools

1) 7/16" wrench
2) Philips head screwdriver
3) Needle-nose pliers
4) Wire stripper/cutter

Disassembly

Note: See the Operating Features in the MRTALP-DC lifter's instruction manual to identify any

features not clearly shown in the FIGURES to follow.

1) Place the pad frame with the vacuum pads (pad covers on) facing downward on a clean, flat

surface.

2) Disconnect the electrical connectors uniting the battery to vacuum generating system.
3) If the lifter was

manufactured before 09/01/2011

, remove the vacuum switch cover and

retain the 5 screws for use in Assembly, to follow.

Assembly

1) Mount the radio receiver assembly from the back side of the pad frame using the fasteners

supplied (see FIGURE 1).

2) Connect the electrical connectors uniting the radio receiver and control enclosure (see

FIGURE 1).

3) Connect the electrical connector on the strobe light to the corresponding connector on the

lifter (see FIGURES for strobe light position).
Alternatively, if the lifter was

manufactured before 09/01/2011

, insert the cotterless hitch pin

into the hole in the pad frame as shown in FIGURE 2. Cut the electrical connector off the

strobe light assembly. Then run the strobe light wires through the tube as shown (see
FIGURE 2). Strip the wire ends and connect the strobe light according to the wiring diagram
in the MRTALP-DC lifter's instruction manual.

4) Mount the strobe light assembly using the fasteners supplied (see FIGURE 1).
5) Reinstall the vacuum switch cover with the screws that were retained in Disassembly.
6) Connect the electrical connectors uniting the battery to the vacuum generating system. The

lifter is now operational.

7) Perform Operational and Load Tests for the lifter as directed in MAINTENANCE: T
