MT-60H/H2 — OPERATION
2. The MT-60H/H2 Tamping rammer is designed to run at 5,500
rpm. At optimum rpm the foot hits at the rate of 675 impacts
per minute. Increasing throttle speed past factory set rpm
does not increase impacts and may damage unit. The MT-
60H/H2 is designed to advance while tamping. For faster
advance, pull back slightly on the handle so that rear of foot
contacts soil first.
Make sure that the throttle lever is moved to the FULL OPEN
position. Operating the rammer at less than full speeds can
result in damage to the clutch springs or foot
