1 D ESCRIPTION
1.1 2132 Controller
The controller is made by Eurotherm, and is fitted by Carbolite configured for immediate use. It
is a digital instrument with PID control algorithms. It is supplied as a sleeve fitted controller, and
because of its small size is suitable for products where space is at a premium.
The 2132 features:
- Easy use as a simple temperature controller, where on setting the required temperature the
controller immediately attempts to reach and maintain it.
- A ramp-to-setpoint feature, which may be used to limit the heating (or cooling).
- A timer function which allows for heating for a predetermined time, either from start or from
reaching temperature; or alternatively for delaying the start of heating.
- An alarm output which may be used in conjunction with the timer, for example to give an
audible alarm at the end of the timing period.
The controller does not contain a real-time calendar, and is not subject to century-end date
problems.
1.2 2116 Controller
The 2116 is identical in function to the 2132, but is larger (twice the height).
1.3 Overtemperature Control
This manual does not describe the use of the 2132 or 2116 as an overtemperature controller.
For use as an overtemperature controller see either the manual MC03 or the main controller
manual.
