Suggested Permanent Mounting Locations.
CAUTION
Charger must be mounted in a location
that has at least four inches of clearance
between the heat sink fins and golf cart,
and is not in direct contact with rain or
splashing water.

WARNING
Verify that the voltage of the charger matches
the voltage of the battery pack that the
charger is being connected to. Using the
improper charger may result in damaged to
charger and/or batteries.
Wiring Instructions for SMT Golf Car Charger:
1. Verify that the battery pack voltage matches the chargers voltage, if uncertain check battery pack with a volt meter.
2. Mount the charger in a location that is not in direct contact with rain or splashing water, and has at least 4 inches
of clearance for the cooling fins to function properly.
3. Connect the DC output leads small ring terminals to the charger, red wire to positive, and black wire to negative.
4. Connect the DC output cables large ring terminals to the battery pack, red wire to
the positive wire of the battery pack, and black wire to the negative.
5. Install (optional) Battery Capacity Gauge according to instructions
supplied with the optional products.
6. Connect AC cord to charger. Plug into grounded wall
outlet when batteries need charging.

WORKING WITH LEAD ACID BATTERIES AND BATTERY CHARGERS:
All lead acid batteries have the potential to emit gasses that may combine into a
combustible or explosive mixture. In many cases, it is possible that lead acid
batteries will emit these gasses during normal discharge and charging operations.
Because of this potential danger, it is important that you follow the precautions
recommended by both the battery and battery charger manufacturers before using
either one.
USING MANUALS: Study all of the battery manufacturer's precautions and
specific recommendations for safe operation such as not removing cell caps while
charging and the recommended rates of charge (charger output current ).
