Identifying wheel weight styles.
Install the steel wheel weight,
using a standard wheel weight hammer
with protective tip, to the wheel.
Always hit the steel wheel weight in
the center. Do not hit tips (ends) as it
may damage the weight.
If the balance weight does not seat
after two hits, then refer to rim gauge or
application chart to verify that the proper
wheel weight is being used per wheel
flange application.

Never reuse a steel balance weight.
S e l e c t the proper steel wheel
weight application by using the BADA
steel wheel weight rim gauge or
application chart.
Note: For traditional steel wheel
applications use PFE for passenger car
applications or TFE for truck (1/2 ton
or larger) applications.
